The two active ingredients in Naphcon-A are naphazoline hydrochloride, to eliminate redness of the eyes, and pheniramine maleate, an antihistamine, to stop itching. As with other eye drops, Naphcon-A is administered topically with 1 to 2 drops applied to the affected eye(s) up to 4 times daily.
